In cooperation with the Mavi Marmara Association and UDEF, the Tent Education Campus we established in Gaza in December 2025—and which was also reported by Al Jazeera and shared with the world—has witnessed a meaningful graduation ceremony for our students.

In the face of ongoing attacks that have destroyed more than 90% of educational buildings in Gaza, killed over 13,500 students, and deprived more than 785,000 students of education, we have taken a meaningful step. At the Tent Education Campus, established in cooperation with the Gaza Ministry of Education and Higher Education, our students celebrated their graduation together with their families, teachers, and members of the local community in a heartfelt ceremony.

As the students who completed their education under extremely difficult conditions threw their caps into the air, the sound of children rising from the ruins became one of the clearest symbols of Gaza’s determination to stand again.

Unbreakable Dreams: Education Continues in Three Shifts a Day

The campus, consisting of seven tent classrooms built with plastic coverings in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in western Gaza City, has a total capacity of 1,050 students.

Since its opening in December 2025, we have been providing education for a wide range of students from first to twelfth grade. Despite high demand and limited resources, we continue educational activities in three shifts per day: morning, afternoon, and evening. The campus includes not only classrooms but also shared living spaces that support children’s social development, multi-purpose activity tents, a kindergarten, and a mosque.

Hope is Blooming Again

Together with the Mavi Marmara Association, UDEF, and the Education-Bir-Sen Istanbul Branch No. 1 in the new period, we continue our efforts to create safe, orderly, dignified, and sustainable living and educational spaces in Gaza.
