Zakat

Zakat, one of the core pillars of Islam, is a form of worship that enables individuals to offer a portion of the sustenance granted by Allah to their less fortunate brothers and sisters. While fulfilling the individual's gratitude toward Allah, zakat also revives the spirit of unity and solidarity within the ummah.

As the Mavi Marmara Association, through our zakat initiatives, we serve as a bridge between donors and those in need, helping to keep the consciousness of brotherhood alive.

Where Are Your Zakat Donations Used?
The primary focus of zakat donations is to provide aid to orphans, the needy, and war victims in conflict zones. In addition, your donations reach those struggling with debt, people who are unable to afford basic food and clothing, and families in need of housing support.

We act as a bridge, delivering the zakat you entrust to us—along with your greetings—to those in need. Your zakat becomes a source of hope and happiness, especially for individuals living under harsh conditions in war-torn areas.

One of the key conditions for giving zakat is that it must be offered to those truly in need. By donating your zakat through the Mavi Marmara Association, you can be assured that your contribution reaches the most deserving individuals.
