Born in 1967 in the village of Besni-Başlı in Adıyaman, Fahri Yaldız was the eldest of five brothers. He lost his father at a young age and took on the responsibility of caring for his mother and siblings from a young age. Growing up as an orphan, Yaldız worked to support his family. Working as a firefighter at Adıyaman Municipality and owning a small-scale pastry and phyllo dough workshop, he used part of his workshop's income for charitable purposes. Yaldız joined the aid fleet to Palestine to deliver aid to orphans in Palestine. He organized a charity bazaar in Adıyaman to support the "Our Route is Palestine, Our Load is Humanitarian Aid" campaign organized by IHH, collecting donations from generous citizens to join the fleet.
