The Joy of Eid al-Adha Lies in Shared Meals, Acts of Kindness, and New Clothes for Children
The true joy of Eid al-Adha is found in the togetherness around shared meals, in the acts of kindness extended to others, and especially in the excitement of children receiving new clothes for the holiday. However, in regions where poverty is widespread, many children are deprived of this joy due to financial hardship.
Since the day we were established, we at the Mavi Marmara Association have continued our humanitarian efforts in Gaza and other areas in need. During Eid al-Adha, one of the most meaningful times for sharing, we not only deliver sacrificial meat to those in need but also distribute holiday clothing to children in impoverished communities.
This Eid, we continue to bring joy to those in need. Following the escalation of attacks on Gaza—especially since October 7—the people of Gaza have faced severe challenges even in accessing basic necessities. That’s why, this holiday, your donation of Eid clothes to Gaza will light up children’s faces and allow you to be a part of their celebration.
Let’s share the joy of Eid. Let’s stand with Gaza’s children.
