Nearly 20 Years of Blockade Has Now Become a Genocide

The blockade on Gaza, in place since 2006, has continued without interruption. During years of disproportionate attacks targeting homes and civilians, water wells have been bombed, electricity and water networks have been repeatedly damaged, and border crossings have been closed to block the entry of supplies and fuel into the region. Since October 7, 2023, the people of Gaza have faced a genocide unprecedented in the world. More than 50,000 people have been martyred according to official records, while reports suggest the number is closer to 300,000; 180,000 buildings have been destroyed or rendered unusable, and hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to live in schools, hospitals, and tent camps.
