The Global Sumud Flotilla, set sail into the Mediterranean with 44 ships and 462 activists, aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and break the years-long blockade.
The flotilla represented an international movement of solidarity, bringing together human rights defenders, medical volunteers, parliamentarians, and crew members from various countries.

Among the vessels in the flotilla, Mikeno became the first ship since 2007 to break the naval blockade and reach Gaza’s territorial waters.
This historic development marked a significant turning point — not only for the people of Gaza but also for the international community. Mikeno’s arrival in Gaza’s waters turned the Sumud Flotilla’s struggle into a symbol of success and resilience.

The flotilla’s final ship, Marinet, however, was subjected to a violent raid by Israeli forces and was seized along with its activists.
Hundreds of activists detained by Israel continue their resistance despite intense pressure and mistreatment. Many of those arrested have launched an indefinite hunger strike, underscoring their refusal to yield in the face of psychological and physical coercion.

The voyage of the Sumud Flotilla has resonated worldwide. From Europe to Latin America, people of conscience have raised their voices, demanding an end to the blockade and the release of the detained activists.
