A Bridge of Hope from Mavi Marmara to Yarmouk Camp: A Ramadan Relief Campaign in Syria.

As part of the 2026 Ramadan program, our Mavi Marmara teams, who have turned their route toward places where sorrowful hearts and oppressed communities live, reached our brothers and sisters in the Yarmouk Camp in Syria, where Palestinian refugees have been struggling for survival for many years.

As the Mavi Marmara Association, we continue our mission to be not only a humanitarian aid organization but also a bridge of brotherhood in regions where humanitarian crises are deepening. By delivering the trusts of our generous donors to the Yarmouk Camp, where our Palestinian refugee brothers and sisters struggle to hold on to life amid war and siege, we once again strengthened the bonds of solidarity in the region.

In the sorrowful streets of Yarmouk, we brought the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan to life through a large iftar gathering. By sharing the same table with 3,500 of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, this gathering strengthened social solidarity in the area and powerfully reminded them that they are not alone.

To support the psychosocial well-being of children—the greatest victims of war—and to bring the joy of Eid a little earlier, we carried out comprehensive activities:

• Children’s Festival and Toy Distribution: During the festival organized in the streets of Yarmouk, 700 children enjoyed a joyful time filled with games and activities. At the end of the program, each child was presented with a toy that brightened their dreams.

• Winter Clothing Support: Considering the harsh weather conditions, we delivered winter clothing sets—including sweaters, scarves, gloves, and hats—to 360 children, helping them stay warm during the winter.

Our teams carried out field activities for the most vulnerable households in the camp with great care:

• Food Security Support: 260 food packages containing essential supplies were delivered to the kitchens of pre-identified families, bringing blessings to their homes. 🍲

• Delivery of Zakat Donations: Zakat entrusted to our association by our donors was distributed directly and personally to 90 beneficiaries, in full alignment with our principles of transparency and care. 🤲
