Mavi Marmara Launches Qurbani Mobilization Across 13 Different Regions

Under the slogan "Cross the borders, share your Qurbani," Mavi Marmara has completed preparations for the 2026 Qurbani season. This year, we are expanding our reach across three continents to deliver your trusts to those in need in a total of 13 regions.

As part of the 2026 operations, we will be personally on the ground in Turkey, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Ethiopia, Burundi, Mali, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Nepal. Acting with a sense of worship, we aim to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood across different geographies.

Last year, we performed the slaughter of over 5,000 Qurbani shares and delivered them to those in need. Through our work in Gaza, Lebanon, Tanzania, Somalia, and Benin, we shared the joy of Eid with more than 30,000 brothers and sisters.

Due to the severe blockade and logistical challenges in Gaza, we pay special attention to this region. Because of livestock shortages and border restrictions, we will perform our slaughters in India according to Islamic principles. Subsequently, the meat will be processed into cans in high-standard hygienic facilities in Dubai. These canned goods, which have a shelf life of 3 years, will be dispatched to reach families in Gaza.

We meticulously record every stage of the donation process. Slaughter information will be sent to our donors via instant SMS, and we will monitor the entire process on-site. The Qurbani distribution will take place during the first three days of Eid, specifically reaching victims of war and natural disasters, as well as orphan families.
