Our Income Generation project for orphaned families struggling to survive in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon is ongoing. Through this project, we provide sewing machines and help open shops for Palestinian orphan mothers who have been forced to flee their homeland. In the poorest regions of Mali, children strive to receive an education despite immense hardships. We, as Mavi Marmara, have taken action to change this reality. Through the Malcolm X Madrasa Project, we are building a classroom where 90 students can study in a safe and well-equipped environment. This 80-square-meter madrasa will include desks, chairs, a teacher’s desk, and essential facilities for students. Constructed sustainably with local labor and materials, our madrasa will be more than just a building — it will stand as a symbol of knowledge, hope, and stability. This project, which will nurture the scholars of the future, aims to transform the destiny of an entire generation in Mali.
