After launching a genocide in Gaza on October 7, the occupying force Israel, having killed over 50,000 innocent civilians, shifted its attacks to other Middle Eastern countries. Israel is now targeting Lebanon, carrying out attacks on innocent civilians.
As a result of these attacks on Lebanon, approximately one thousand people have lost their lives, and over one million people have been forced to internally migrate in Lebanon, which has a population of 5.5 million. Just as in Gaza, Zionist forces in Lebanon have carried out bomb attacks on refugee camps, schools, and other residential areas, depriving the local population of the ability to live safely.
As Mavi Marmara Association, we have launched our efforts under the Lebanon Emergency Aid Projects to stand by the Lebanese people during this challenging period and support their urgent humanitarian needs. In the first phase, we took action to address the food and shelter needs of the Lebanese civilian population and tried to deliver aid in response to the hardships caused by the war.
Currently, many Lebanese people are struggling to survive after their homes were destroyed, living in unsafe areas. Additionally, those who have temporarily taken refuge in school buildings and refugee camps are facing significant difficulties in meeting their shelter and basic needs. For this reason, the support you provide to the Lebanese people holds great importance in offering hope to those facing these harsh conditions.
As Mavi Marmara Association, we aim to increase our assistance to provide more support to the Lebanese people and to help heal their wounds. Our Lebanon Emergency Aid efforts will continue at full speed in the upcoming period.
