“Participation in the Sumud Parliamentary Congress in Brussels”

As the Mavi Marmara Freedom and Solidarity Association, we took part in the Global Sumud Parliamentary Congress held in Brussels, Belgium. The congress brought together around 500 parliamentarians, political representatives, and international officials from various countries to discuss concrete steps against the blockade on Gaza.

“Call to Halt Arms Transfers to Israel”

During the congress, calls came to the forefront to stop ongoing arms transfers to Israel and to ensure the safe passage of the Global Sumud Flotilla advancing toward Gaza عبر the Mediterranean. Participants emphasized the need to establish humanitarian corridors in line with international law.

“Attention Drawn to the Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza”

The meeting also highlighted the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stressing the need to move beyond condemnation and implement international sanctions. Steps to strengthen coordination among parliamentarians and to create lasting political impact were also discussed.
