Helen O'Sullivan, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi's close friend and companion at the time of her martyrdom, attended the ongoing Freedom Vigil at Haydarpaşa Port to support the demonstration.

O’Sullivan, who also accompanied Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi during various protests and demonstrations during their university years, shared insights about Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi and recounted their experiences in the West Bank at the Freedom Vigil.

Additionally, O’Sullivan spoke about the inhumane treatment, oppression, and brutality inflicted by the occupying Israeli forces on Palestinians, describing the incidents she witnessed and the hardships faced by Palestinians under occupation.

The Australian activist had come to Turkey to file a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the Israeli officials involved in Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi’s killing in the West Bank.

Helen O'Sullivan was also among the activists scheduled to join the Freedom Flotilla, which was supposed to set sail 84 days ago.
