Winter in Gaza is not only cold; it is ten times more devastating due to the blockade. In an environment where fuel entry is blocked, power outages last for days, and access to food and humanitarian aid is extremely limited, people are struggling against the threat of freezing.
As a result of the attacks, 92% of homes have become uninhabitable. Thousands of families are trying to survive in makeshift tents that leak under rain and wind. As temperatures drop rapidly during winter nights, the risk grows each day for children, the elderly, and the sick.
In response to these harsh conditions, the Mavi Marmara Association is establishing a large-scale tent camp consisting of 1,948 tents to help families relocate to safer areas. Supported with clean water, communal living spaces, a school, and places of worship, this tent camp is a critical step toward restoring humane living conditions in Gaza.
However, even a tent camp cannot withstand the severity of winter on its own.
Families are in urgent need of:
• Winter Clothing Package (coat, boots, beanie, gloves),
• Winter Blankets,
• Fuel and heating support.
Every contribution warms a child’s trembling hands, keeps a mother’s tent standing, and helps a family endure the dark and freezing nights.
In Gaza, struck by harsh winter conditions, the wounds opened by the blockade can be healed through our solidarity.
This winter, brotherhood will warm those who are cold.
