• Nearly 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced from homes that were destroyed or severely damaged.

• 1.13 million people are living in tents that leak, are worn down, and offer almost no protection against the cold.

• Most tents provide no shelter from heavy rain and wind; recent downpours have flooded many of them, and some have collapsed.

• Winter night temperatures drop to 6°C (42°F), creating a high risk of hypothermia, illness, and increased mortality.
