ICC, ICJ, and Palestine: A Failure?
Since the occupation of Palestine began in 1948, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) have handled dozens of cases related to Palestine. Despite its oppressive and repressive policies, Israel has continued its occupation without facing any significant sanctions in the international arena. After the genocide that began on October 7, 2023, the extent to which the ICC and ICJ can enforce the expected sanctions remains a matter of concern.
