Restoration of Al-Quds Mosque in Syria
Rebuilding a Mosque in Syria

For decades, Syria has been a land tested by dictatorship, oppressive policies, sieges, and the brutal realities of war. During this dark period, hundreds of thousands of innocent people have lost their lives, and millions have been forced to flee their homes, becoming refugees. Cities have been reduced to rubble, and the social fabric of society has been deeply scarred.
Located at the heart of Damascus, Yarmouk Camp was once a place of refuge and hope for Palestinian refugees. Throughout the war, however, it became one of the areas subjected to the heaviest sieges and bombardments. As a result of ongoing attacks, forced displacement, and destruction, many buildings were severely damaged—among them the Al-Quds Mosque.
Before the war, Al-Quds Mosque was not only a place of worship, but also a vital community center. It hosted educational activities, Qur’an classes, community gatherings, and charitable initiatives that strengthened social solidarity. Today, due to extensive damage, the mosque is no longer able to provide a safe and suitable environment for worship.
The mosque’s electrical system, sound and lighting infrastructure, toilets and ablution areas, as well as parts of its exterior structure, have been severely damaged. Despite the devastation caused by the war, the people of Yarmouk remain determined to restore their mosque and reopen it for worship.
The local community is seeking support to repair and rehabilitate the Al-Quds Mosque so that it may once again serve as a center of faith, unity, and hope. Every contribution will help revive not only a building, but also the spiritual life and resilience of an entire community.
You can be part of this meaningful effort by supporting the restoration of the Al-Quds Mosque.
