A press conference will be held for the Vicdan ship, which has been unlawfully detained by the Ministry of Transport at the Haydarpaşa Port.

Since October 7, the attacks by the occupying Israeli forces against the people of Gaza have escalated to the level of genocide. To raise awareness against this genocide and in support of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the Vicdan ship, which was meant to contribute to a ceasefire in the Mediterranean, has been detained by the Ministry of Transport at Haydarpaşa Port without any legal justification. To make our voices heard against this injustice, on Wednesday, September 4, we, together with Freedom Flotilla activists, chained the gates of the port and started a Freedom Vigil.

Despite reaching the 23rd day of the vigil, no official explanation has been provided regarding the detention of the ship at the port. The departure of the Vicdan ship to European shores to participate in awareness protests and then its unification with other ships of the Freedom Flotilla to sail into the Mediterranean will contribute to achieving a ceasefire in Palestine and exert significant pressure on the occupying Israeli regime in the international arena.

In this context, we invite all our citizens and members of the press to join the press conference, which will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 7:00 PM, in front of Gate C of Haydarpaşa Port, where the Freedom Vigil continues.
