When you receive a blessing, you can donate the sacrifice of gratitude you want to sacrifice, and enable those in need to benefit from the sacrifice.

What does gratitude mean?

The qurbans sacrificed by the people who perform the temettu and the breaking pilgrimage, because they perform the hajj and umrah together in the same season, are called gratitude sacrifices. Likewise, a person can sacrifice a thank-you qurban for reaching a desired goal or attaining a blessing.

Is it possible to sacrifice an animal by proxy?

The victim can be slaughtered by himself or by proxy. The person who sacrifices by proxy can give power of attorney to someone in his/her place of residence, or he/she can give power of attorney to a person or institution in another place. The power of attorney can be given verbally or in writing, as well as by telephone, internet, fax and similar communication tools.

Where and when is my sacrifice of gratitude that I donated?

Your donated qurban is slaughtered in the designated areas of urgent need between 15 and 30 days.

To whom is my qurban of gratitude that I donated delivered?

Thank God, your qurban is divided into shares after slaughter and delivered to those in need in areas of urgent need, refugees, victims of war and natural disasters, orphan families, the elderly, the homeless and those in poverty.
