Years of internal conflict and political instability in Burundi have caused the country to face severe economic hardships. These challenges have made Burundi one of the world's most deprived nations in terms of per capita income and living standards.

With 70% of the population living below the poverty line, life in Burundi is incredibly difficult for its people. At this point, as the Mavi Marmara Association, we are helping the people of Burundi sustain their own income through the "Income Generation Projects" we have implemented in the region.

The main objective of this project is to increase the income levels of the local population, enabling each family to sustain themselves rather than relying on continuous aid in an economically struggling area.
